It was in the 1860’s when local Christians first met together in what was commonly referred to as “Porters House” on Cardy corner.
The Christians met there for the next 20 years until the decision was made, to build their own hall in the field opposite.
The old wooden hall, still on the original site, was renovated in the late 1970’s and red bricks were built around the existing structure.
Growing numbers meant that the old hall was no longer adequate in terms of space and car parking facilities, so the field adjacent was purchased and the car park extended. In February 2006 plans were passed to build a new hall at the bottom of the car park.
The Lord has been good and has preserved the assembly over the last 140 years and now we extend to you a warm invitation to attend our regular weekly meetings in our new building.
